Welcome to Week 2 Lighthousers! What a first week. I hope you all still have your jobs and your wallets. If last week was any indication of how this season is going to be, Rivalries will be putting up four new locations by June. Oh, we also played kickball (or something that mimicked the game closely with the gale force winds). Last week brought back some sweet sweet memories.... Tinderellas being sloppy even before their game started... the Superhero league arguing over balls and strikes and basically not having one ounce of fun... the S3XT Panthers continuing right where they left off from last season. And let us not forget about the upsets, because if you look at my expert analysis and predictions from last week, you would quickly realize that I'm not an expert analyst.             Finally! Kickball season is back! Kind of an exciting off season we had. We saw some teams rebuild, some teams implode, and some teams trying to blow up their team already (NDW). We have a few new teams this season, which is amazing because I thought kickball was about as popular as Magic the Gathering these days. When I mention any of the new teams in the league, it's all hypothetical. I don't recognize any names on at least 3 rosters this season. Don't feel slighted. I generally don't remember much of anything after 7pm on Thursdays. My reader numbers were down last season... Makes me sad. Spread the word and let's make this season the best yet for the GMoT. Whats up LIGHTHOUSERS!!!! Can you believe another season is already here? It feels like just yesterday we were wondering if the lights would ever come back on at Fitzpatrick. Hope you all have saved up your sick time - if you haven't, you'll be wishing you did come this Friday morning. To start us out this season, I figured it would be smart to recap the results of last season. In a historic match-up, the Panthers walked away with the gold ball, after a last inning heroic rally, to put away the Tinderellas. What occurred after that can only be remembered in screenshots of Snapchats and TMZ.com coverage, but one thing is for certain, the Panthers are hungry for the repeat. I only get hangovers when I don't drink so mine have been terrible, thanks. I was extremely impressed with the End of Season party for Fall. Here we are, the last night of kickball. Weather.com says it’s going to be chilly with a 50% chance of rain. Slippery kickballs on turf make for high scoring kickball so ditch the kids and come down to Fitzy to get your last taste of WAKA for 6 months. Last week we saw T2R end their season and bust my bracket in the top of the 1st inning. Time for the moment everyone on Muff N Men has been waiting for! The great playoff preview! Granted the regular season isn’t over yet because our commish was scared to start the season on time, let’s just all assume that Fall-Tea Balls win their warm up game against MDC. If that doesn’t happen, then all that will be affected this week is 2 games, so pretty much half of this write up is contingent upon that game. So, Muff N Men locked up the BCS title and home field advantage throughout the playoffs. MDC finally got their first win by suckering TC into a kick away game. TC completed their collapse that started week 4 with a blowout loss and a forfeit.
