Week 3 Lighthouse League Predictions
After two weeks of writing this blog,
we would like to publicly announce that we are perfect in our
predictions. We honestly do not understand why we cannot place bets
in Vegas on these games, probably because they know we'd bring down
the house. Also, we received ZERO submissions for
bachelor/bachelorette of the week (step it up SBB). Let it be known
that we will be picking random people from here on out if we do not
get any submissions, and trust us, we've ruined marriages before.
Until then, another week of the G-Spot for all your enjoyment.
GAME OF THE WEEK
RAB vs EBD: In this weeks GOTW, we have
of battle of epic proportions. We received an anonymous tip from an
inside source (Buster Olney) that the pitcher from EBD tested
positive for an unidentified substance (also known as deer antler
spray) so we will have to see in the upcoming days if a suspension
will follow. RAB has been holding double sessions (one at 4:20 AM
and one at 4:20 PM), and we are predicting a nail-biter – RAB 6-5
SD vs TD: SD is still looking to move
their first run across the plate, but unfortunately they get matched
up against a team that can equal their spirit this week in TD. TD is
coming off a 9 run performance from Week 2 and has gotten plenty of
rest with the cancellation of Week 3, so as long as they haven't been
blocked by every person within a 25 mile radius on Tinder, we're
expecting another strong performance. TD 4-1.
SBB vs VIA: SBB has been spending its
off days at The Max, and word on the street is Kelly Kapowski is
sponsoring this team (messages left with Kelly Kapowski have not been
returned however). VIA made some noise in Week 2, but seemed to run
out of gas down the stretch, probably due to their skinny jeans
(required attire to be on this team). SBB in a close one – 3-2.
SMP vs TDP: SMP has started out this
season at a surprising 2-0, despite setting the league record for
errors in one game (15 by the 3rd inning and they lost
count from there). This week there are talks surfacing around the
team to use large butterfly nets, however, a teams spokesman stated
that “there were complications arising from getting the ball out of
the net.” TDP is coming off a rough outing against EBD from Week 2.
We expect a rebound performance from TDP, but with the addition of
the butterfly nets, SMP 3-2.
CROSSOVER GAME
BOF vs MnM: Even though this is a
“friendly” crossover competition, this game may fall victim to
the “mercy rule.” The only chance BOF has is to play sloshball,
and enforce a “beer in each hand” rule change. If the team can
manage to slip this one past the MnM's, we could see an upset,
however, we all know a drunk salesman is never as good as he thinks
he is, and because of that – MNM 6-1.
