Week 5 Recaps
NDW 8 - Catch Her in The Eye 4 After a week if heavy one sided public trash talk, NDW showed up with exactly 9 players for our Thursday night clash. In a very un-NDW like way, we chose to be home given the fact our defensive alignment looked less than great. After working ourselves into quite the jam in the first, NDW managed to get out of it only giving up 1 run. Time for the beatdown! Not quite. NDW's guys managed 3 hits, 1 double play and a pop out to end the inning. 1-0 Catch Her in The Eye. Crap, maybe the trash talk wasn't such a good idea? No worries though because the NDW girls took over and aided by a few (okay, a shitload) of fielding errors by Catch Her, NDW blew the game wide open to the tune of 8-1 over the next 2 innings. Trash talk was totally a good idea! In the top of the 4th, Catch Her got the top of their lineup up again and stepped on the gas thanks to Ryan Houghton inexplicably trying to peg a girl going home, he missed and threw it down the hill, 2 run...
Week 5 Predictions
Week 5 predictions are here, unfortunately, Ryan Faley (NASCAR Superfan and white trash aficionado) is not this week. Since I'm a man of the people and someone asked for actual team names a few weeks ago, I put them in. So feel free to throw that team name index away. Not that I'm keeping track, but let the record show I went 8-0 last week in games that didn't end in a shameful, sister kissing tie. I blame Steve Ginn for showing up and helping Exotic Pet Owners save face after their Captain (Faley) abandoned them like a teenage mother to take an 8 week vacation. Steve's not there, I go 9-0, no doubt. Lighthouse: Roll Another Bunt vs East Bound and Down: There are few things I'll never grow tired of, the combo of Kenny Fing Powers and Kickball is one of them. It works on so many levels. Also worth noting the neon green team put 17 runs on the board last week. Roll Another Bunt dropped a 1 run decision. I still can't past their ironic name...
Week 4 Recaps
NDW 6 - Portland Rum Riot 2 Why do we even play these games? Can't we just agree to pay the $68 to register and then WAKA will just send NDW a Founder's Cup bid? It'd certainly save some of us a lot of weekly travel costs. We'd also save a bunch of cash booking flights to Vegas early rather than waiting until July to win our inevitable championship. Anywho, NDW showed up to the swamp to play a game that most us acknowledged would be tough. Unlike previous years when Loaded was anywhere from slightly to really over rated (Sorry, I'm not sorry), Rum Riot made some key pick ups and put together a really good team. They are, without a doubt, a top team this year. All due respect to the Shakers, Rum Riot is #2, you guys are 3 and the rest is kind of a wash to me (more on this later). NDW opened the scoring with 2 runs in the first in classic NDW fashion, get the lead guys on, get Kerry to crush the ball, trot in from 3rd. 2-0....

Week 3 Predictions *Rained Out*
Week 3 predictions coming to you late after a call to bullpen for a relief picker because there's apparently a pretty good chance we'll play this week. I think after several years of data, Portland parks and rec realized that we're the only people who will actually pay to use the fields we play on so they no longer care what shape they're in. Without further ado... Lighthouse: RAB - VS: I really want to pick against RAB only because they have white shirts. That can't be a good thing this week can it? Seems like tide commercial in the making. That said I think VS might short some people due to getting married (join the Facebook group if you haven't already) and going on a honeymoon somewhere with better weather than here. RAB 5-2 TWSS - OBSK: Sticking with my color theme, OBSK is brown, and so isn't the mud they'll surely have to contend with on the field. That's gotta be good right? They also won the bar belt last week for their outstand...
