Superhero Week 4

Here comes another installment of "Will. We. Play?". I'm feeling a little more optimistic this time around, but if we hear one rumble of thunder or see one flash of lightning then we will be playing unsponsored sloshball (j/k)! Last week was probably the most marquee set up for games we will see all season. Top 2, 3v4, two sloshball juggernauts. All the games lived up to the hype. This week a challenge has been issued by Talbot to the Lighthouse league. A 24 vs 24 dizzy bat relay race. For those of you who missed out last year, lucky for you I have a video with expert commentary. Quick takes this week, since I've been busy and people really only want to see the video below.

Power Rankings

#10. Pitches Be Krazy - Good to see these guys fielded a full team last week. Didn't do them much good, but they won the bar belt and that's all that really matters to me.

#9. Kick Tease - Solid game against PP last week. May have set a WAKA record for the fastest 5 innings.

#8. Pocket Pounders - Had high hopes for these guys last week. Kind of surprised they stopped bunting.

#7. The UntouchaBalls - Not their best effort at sloshball, but a win is a win (j/k, we didn't do the bottom of the inning). Hoping to see more of a bar presence from these guys.

#6. Chug Norris - Solid slosh showing with the baby sippers and big jugs of Teas. Real fun starts this week against WCoH.

#5. Muff N Puff - Still undefeated. Only 1 run allowed. But only number 5? That's right, they've played nobody worth mentioning. That ends this week.

#4. Rum Riot - Solid win against a good team. I can't discount their first game loss, though. Especially the way PP has played since that game.

#3. We're Coming on Home - They can sure put runs up against solid defenses (excluding HML), but they just can't close the deal. Kathy and co. are hoping to finally get in the win column this week.

#2. No Dead Weight - Bez still hasn't won a game in Maine this season. Surprised they couldn't score one last week, with their defense being top notch.

#1. Hand Made Love - Still no runs allowed and they've played 2 of the better teams in the league. Has anyone ever gone a whole season without allowing a run? I'm sure Dorsey knows and will comment. These cockheads got a shot this season.

This Week's Games

6PM
Rum Riot (-7) vs. Pitches Be Krazy
RR has started to right the ship after their embarrassing first week loss. look for that trend to continue this week.

We're Coming on Home (-2) vs. Chug Norris
This is sadly the game of the week (no offense). I see this as one of those games that WCoH jumps out to a lead, then gives it all up late and scores a couple in the 5th to lock up a win.

The UntouchaBalls (-3) vs. Pocket Pounders
PP looked solid week one but really haven't done much since. The Balls drink as much if not more than anyone, which can affect on field performance. I feel like they want to get at least 1 win and this may be their best chance for now.

650PM
Hand Made Love (-4) vs. Kick Tease
Yikes. Depending on TShaw's mood, this could be a blowout or HML could do what they generally do and that's grab that early lead and coast.

NDW (-5) vs. Muff N Puff
NDW hasn't won in 2 weeks and probably plans on just unloading on someone. Sucks for the Muffs.

See you at the fields!
