Lighthouse Week 8

Well, it appears the GSPOT team went a perfect 4 for 4 in last weeks predictions, as the first week that Corliss ran the show got rained out. Hopper is retaking the throne this week, but it appears there may be some lingering effects as it looks as though rain will make an appearance. With that being said, I've evaluated the Doppler and personally spoke to Al Roker, who guaranteed that kickball will be on. So here's some predictions...

Ex Panthers vs Ball Busters

These two teams met in the first week, and the BB's shocked the league by pulling off the week one upset. The Ex Panthers have made quite a few personnel changes since then, none more prominent than Captain Josh Moody retiring from his pitching duties. An inside source who requested to go unnamed stated this was the team's decision, and that Moody did not take it well, throwing a "temper-tantrum on the mound" which resulted in the team having to physically remove the kickball from his hands. Although the team's captain is not happy, the source went on to say that "the [team] is f------ thrilled." We think that enthusiasm will carry over to the game, and for that reason, we have the Ex Panthers winning, 3-1.

Tinderellas vs Misfits

It was probably a good thing this game got rained out last week, because if they had played, we'd already be banned from Payson, Rivalries, Old Port, Portland and the state of Maine. We'll try our luck again this week. These two teams are reportedly playing sloshball, and it scares the hell out of me to think that the Misfits could possibly be more drunk than every other previous week. It will be difficult to call a winner of this match-up, as I know the two teams will forget which team is batting and which team is in the field. GSPOT's prediction is that Sparks, the referee of this shitshow, will be the ultimate winner here, as he will be able to get as much free booze from either team as he wants.

We've Got The Runs vs We Only Come From Behind

We've Got. The Runs played the Ex Panthers last, walking away with a tie. They played well, and if they were playing any other team this week, we'd recommend stepping it up. However, they are matched up against We Only Come From Behind, a team that appears to be striving for a winless season. If WGTR's has four girls show up, they will be walking away with another W, as WOCFB is turrible. WGTR's wins, 6-2.

S3XT Panthers vs Swamp Donkeys

The S3XT Panthers have lived up to their lofty expectations all season, highlighted by their dominant performance against the previously undefeated Tinderellas. The Donkeys played well against the Panthers in their first meeting, falling just short, 2-1. The Panthers will be without me this week, and they will finally learn how unimportant I actually am to the team. I think this will be a close game, with the Donkeys pushing the Panthers to the brink of their first loss, however, the Panthers rallying late and walking away with the victory. Panthers win 5-4.

Enjoy the games and cherish the hangovers - you won't be able to play kickball forever.

You stay classy Lighthouse.
