Week 5

We've finally made it to the halfway point of the season. Hopefully you've got enough sick time to make it through the next half. Props to the prom committee (don't know, don't care) for setting up a great mid season disaster. There was an amazing amount of cross dressing. Jugs & Thugs thought they had the garter bar belt in the bag until a stretch Hummer rolled up and a sea of Canadian tuxedos paraded out. The curse of #2 continued (0-4), so we'll try a new team there this week. And shout out to AlcoBallix for being the first team (that I know of) warned for being over competitive. Enjoy your last chance at a win this season. Look forward to seeing you guys in Superhero next season! This week we have our first crossover game... Hopefully NDW can represent Superhero with dignity and mercy. Word on the street is there is a Fireball promo going on at Dewey's this week, because that's EXACTLY what we need. (I never say no to shots). Summer league registration is open and if anyone needs a drunk asshole, I'm officially a free agent!

Week 5 Rankings

#6. Tinder Rejects
It almost seems like Shaker and friends have been trying to lock down that bottom spot all season. Well done. The McLean family hasn't been on a team this bad since Balled and the Beautiful. Lighthouse take notes! This is your best chance at beating a Superhero team!

#5. Hand Made Love
Maybe it was the other team playing in dresses, maybe it was Steve making his debut, either way HML finally got into the win column and almost looked like they knew what they were doing.

#4. Rum Riot
RR got a good ol fashioned ass whoopin last week and are hoping to salvage the season this week before interleague games start. They are looking like the team most likely to change their name to "Time to Retire" now. How ya feeling about team hopping now Jeannette?

#3. Jugs & Thugs
The number 2 curse continued last week as the Jugs thought rolling out an all girl line up would be enough against HML. Props to everyone playing in dresses especially worst base runner ever Sothea for a graceful and all to revealing slide. Also worth noting they had a fantastic triple play that yielded what ended up being the winning run and Talbot yelled at a ref again.

#2. Balls on your Shin
These guys rolled to the field in absolute style and beat the shit out of the Tindies, dominated the Dewey's dance floor, won the bar belt, and probably all got more ass than a toilet seat. Got to eventually give some respect when it's due and no one else in this league is really stepping up. Big test this week against NDW.

#1. No Dead Weight
Another dominating win. Another night that I don't remember going to OPT. It's just what we do. They are going through this league like Mulkern goes through girlfriends. NDW gets their introduction to Lighthouse this week in a game that I'm 100% sure they will show no mercy in. Then they have a chance to keep the #2 curse going.

This Week's Games

This week shaped up nicely. The top 2 teams from each league play each other. 1 vs. 2, 3 vs. 4, 5 vs. 6 match ups for Superhero as well. Sneakily well played, Whit.

No Dead Weight (-3) v. We've Got the Runs (CROSSOVER)
Top teams in each division clash tonight. This could be a struggle snuggle or a close game. It's tough to call because we play Lighthouse rules, and I don't have much of a scouting report on Lighthouse teams. I don't see WGtR scoring many runs against an NDW defense that has few holes. 3-0.

Jugs & Thugs (-2) v. Rum Riot
Both teams looking to rebound from last week. Casey is listed as doubtful this week so that means Stevey will be catching again. Rum Riot has looked terrible this season so I'm going with the team that has at least shown me something. Jugs 4-2.

Hand Made Love (-3) v. Tinder Rejects
No one knows if Steve is going to make it, but it probably won't matter. Shaker is already thinking about how not to lose those Lighthouse games coming up. HML 4-1.

No Dead Weight (-2) v. Balls on your Shin
There was a rumor of a sloshball challenge issued by the Balls last week. NDW hasn't confirmed or denied the terms of the game yet. I just can't see them not playing normal, even with the top seed pretty much locked up. NDW 3-1. (Slosh: BoyS 11-10.)
