Week 4 Predictions

        Short and sweet this week folks. Last week kickball was cancelled, then uncancelled, then recancelled. I'm counting that as 2 rain outs for The Rain Man. Sloshball happened, I think, with my team and T'keela Mockingbirds pretty much covering who showed up. Long story short, it was a blast as always and after numerous web gems, my team won (as usual).


Early Games
Richard Don't Know vs. Beast From the East
Is it weird to think this one may end up as a forfeit? Guess it depends on when Mac and gang leave for Vegas. Either way, BFE should grab their first win and will most likely walk through Dewey's like they beat NDW. BFE wins 5-0.

No Dead Weight vs. T'keela Mockingbirds
Old school bitching and moaning versus new school bitching and moaning. Can't wait to base ref this one! This one will be close for a couple innins until NDW breaks it open like they always seem to. NDW wins 6-1.

Late Games
It Ain't Gonna Kick Itself vs. Hand Made Love
If our defense plays the bunt like it did against HC, we have a chance to pull off the upset here. But if our defense forgets how to catch pop flies again, this will be a blow out. I'll take the latter here. HML should cruise 4-1

Pitch Please vs. Hoff Constantly
Game of the week! Both of these teams have already layed an egg this season and teams who've been together this long usually don't lay two. PP's strength is big boots and mistake free defense. HC's strength is a stout infield and a solid top of the order. This game will be won in the last inning, by PP, 4-3.

Muff N Men vs. Jello Shots
Bye week for the Muffs. I expect a messy, jello filled disaster, and expect nothing less from these guys.

                  Here comes another installment of "Will. We. Play?". I'm feeling a little more optimistic this time around, but if we hear one rumble of thunder or see one flash of lightning then we will be playing unsponsored sloshball (j/k)! Last week was probably the most marquee set up for games we will see all season. Top 2, 3v4, two sloshball juggernauts. All the games lived up to the hype. This week a challenge has been issued by Talbot to the Lighthouse league. A 24 vs 24 dizzy bat relay race. Opening Week!

            Finally! Kickball season is back! Kind of an exciting off season we had. We saw some teams rebuild, some teams implode, and some teams trying to blow up their team already (NDW). We have a few new teams this season, which is amazing because I thought kickball was about as popular as Magic the Gathering these days. When I mention any of the new teams in the league, it's all hypothetical. I don't recognize any names on at least 3 rosters this season. Don't feel slighted. I generally don't remember much of anything after 7pm on Thursdays. My reader numbers were down last season... Makes me sad. Spread the word and let's make this season the best yet for the GMoT.
